How to Batch Create Content (Without Losing Your Mind)

Creating content every day is EXHAUSTING.
Trying to film when you’re uninspired? Writing captions on the fly when your brain has checked out for the day? Absolutely not. That leads to burnout and bad vibes. That’s why batching your content is not only a smart move but it’s a sanity saving one. I’m a HUGE believer in work smarter, not harder. Batching your content in one day frees up your whole week to focus on other things while your content runs on its own.
Why Batching Works (and Feels Better)
If you’re creating content from a place of dread, people can feel that. Batching helps you show up with better energy, set boundaries, and avoid that daily “what do I even post today?” spiral. I’m all about freedom, ease, and aliveness… batching lets me live those values instead of staying stuck in creation mode 24/7.
Plan It But Make It Fun
Yes, you need a plan but PLEASE don’t overthink it. Use your planning time to brain dump. Let ideas flow. Some of the best content hits you in the moment, not when you're staring at a content calendar feeling stuck. Have a notes app or text thread with yourself to jot things down during the week when inspiration hits (because it will). Then on batch day, refer back to those ideas and build from there. Be strict about the goal (we’re creating!), but flexible with the approach.
Batch Day = Hair Wash Day
When it’s batch day, I treat it like an event. Hair done, clean space, good lighting, I want to feel my best, because it shows on camera. Confidence translates. Set up your gear once, and leave it. Don’t waste time resetting your space 10 times.
Record All Your B-Roll First
You can shoot 10 pieces of b-roll in 30 minutes. That’s 10 posts waiting to happen.
What’s b-roll?
B-roll is background or supplemental footage — think typing on your laptop, making coffee, walking down the street, opening your planner.
It’s not the “main” content, but it’s what makes your videos feel real, layered, and scroll-stopping.
B-roll Ideas You Can Shoot Today:
Pouring coffee
Typing on your laptop
Lighting a candle
Holding your phone like you're filming
Filming your camera filming you (very meta)
Trust me, your future self will thank you.
Use What You Already Have
Don’t sleep on your camera roll. You probably have content from weeks or months ago that could easily be turned into something new. Repurposing is not lazy, it’s smart. Also, don’t try to force yourself to film if you're not feeling it. We can tell. You won’t act like yourself, your mask will be obvious, and the vibe will be off.
If you’re in a rut, go outside. Touch grass. Recharge. We’re literally on a rock flying through space, missing one piece of content is not that serious.
Edit & Schedule in Mini-Sessions
Batch day is for filming. Editing comes later. Break up your editing into small chunks throughout the week, not only will your content be better, but you won’t hate the process. Once edited, upload everything into drafts or schedule them to auto-post.
Tools That Make Life Easier
The Notes app on my phone is my content planning ride-or-die
Batching is about protecting your energy, not just your schedule.
When you batch, you create from a place of clarity and confidence… and that always comes through on camera. So if you’re ready to stop scrambling and start creating content that actually feels good? Pick a day, wash your hair, and batch.
